Mental Health Occupational Therapy
Neurodivergent affirming mental health care for Autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD teens and adults
Occupational therapy is about the doing.
Rather than only talking through challenges, I work side by side with you to understand what's getting in the way and experiment with new approaches.
I take a holistic, 360-degree view of the whole person, looking beyond the issue in front of you to the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, environmental, and sensory pieces at play.
Using neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based approaches, I help you build real-world tools, meaningful routines, and strategies that support greater autonomy, confidence, and quality of life.
THE APPROACH
WHAT WE WORK ON
Common Focus Areas
-
Understand what drives burnout, recover
from stretches of overwhelm and
exhaustion, and build a more sustainable
way of living.
-
Develop practical systems and strategies
for getting started, planning, organizing,
managing time, making decisions,
and following through.
-
Get to know your unique sensory profile,
then build the tools, adaptations,
and routines that keep daily life from
overwhelming your senses.
-
Build awareness of your patterns and
triggers, and develop concrete tools for
meeting overwhelming emotions
with more flexibility,
confidence, and self-compassion.
-
Get better at tuning in to what your body is
telling you (its signals, needs, and limits)
and meeting them before you hit a wall.
-
Build skills and confidence with everyday
responsibilities, from self-care
and home life to school, work,
and getting out into the community.
-
Learn to work with the energy you have,
recognize your limits, and build routines
that you can realistically keep up.
-
Reduce the pull of anxiety and low mood
when they get in the way of the things
that matter to you.
-
Find realistic ways to navigate life's
demands, ease overwhelm, and create
more balance day to day.
-
Create anchors for rest, nourishment,
movement, and downtime that support
how you think, feel, and function.
-
Build a healthier relationship with
productivity, rest, play, and
the activities that give your life
meaning.
Action-oriented, collaborative, and grounded in real life. Areas we can work on together include, but aren't limited to:
A free consult is a low-pressure place to begin, a chance to talk through what's going on and see whether we're a good fit.
